However, the locum surgeon may be asked to cover 24-hour beeper call on weekends when the main clinician is unavailable. Typically, call volume is low, with the possibility of handling issues via phone without the need to come in.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Board Certification: Candidates must be board certified in Plastic Surgery.
- Licensure: Must hold an active medical license in California (CA).
- Certifications:
- BLS is required.
- Other certifications like ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, and PALS are not necessary for this position.
- Hospital Privileges: Hospital or surgery center privileges are required, though temporary privileges are not available. The credentialing process is estimated to take 60-90 days, so candidates should be prepared for this timeframe.
- Experience: The ideal candidate should have significant experience in breast surgery and be comfortable handling both routine and complex cases.
